  • Musée Rodin – A museum dedicated to the work of famous sculptor Auguste Rodin that’s housed in the grand 18th-century mansion Hôtel Biron.

  • Corbusier Apartment Paris – After two years of restoration, the studio-apartement where Le Corbusier lived from 1934 to 1965 reopens its doors to the public.

  • Centre Georges Pompidou - Iconic modern art museum known for it’s unique architectural structure. The Musee National d’Art Modern occupies the top two level; Level 5 is devoted to modern art from 1905 to 1960 including major works by Matisse and Picasso; Level 4 is dedicated to contemporary art from the 60’s on. Also close to the Marais shopping area.

  • Musée Pablo Picasso – A favorite featuring the work of Picasso.

  • Foundation Louis Vuitton – Frank Gehry’s new contemporary art museum and cultural center. Commissioned by Bernard Arnault, it features his private collection, as well as extensive temporary exhibitions.

  • Jardin des Tuileries – The quintessential French gardens designed by Andre Le Notre. Beautiful spot to visit in the Spring and Summer near lots of sites like Le Louvre.

  • Le Louvre - The world's greatest art museum—and its largest, with 675,000 square feet of works from almost every civilization. You can find the Mona Lisa here.

  • Notre Dame - Above Place du Paris, this Gothic sanctuary is the symbolic heart of Paris.

  • Champs Elysées – Paris’ most coveted street filled with luxury shops and cafes.

  • Eiffel Tower – The ultimate civic emblem of Paris. You can buy tickets to climb to the top or skip the line and admire from afar.

  • Musée D'Orsay - Opened in 1986, this gorgeously renovated Belle Époque train station displays a world-famous collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings.

  • Chateau de Versailles

  • Arc de Triomphe – Located at the end of the famous Champs Elysees you’ll find the 164-foot triumphal arch ordered by Napoleon. Every evening at 6:30pm the crowd gathers as an honorary candle is lit for France’s Unknown Solider who’s currently buried beneath the arch.

  • Neighborhoods

    • Le Marais | 2nd, 3rd, 4th arr. | Favorite for shopping and cute restos.

    • Montmartre | 18th arr. | What was once the place notable artists of the 20th century liked to chill, Montmartre's charm still sticks but the scene has become even livelier.

    • Saint-Germain-des-Prés | 6th arr. | Historic neighborhood along with river. Walk down the side roads for shopping and unique cafes.

    • Invalides | 7th arr | Old Parisian luxury, not too far from the Eiffel Tower. There’s also a bunch of vintage shops here.

    • Opera | 8th arr. | Traditional Paris, well-known department stores.

    • South of Pigalle | 9th arr. | A cool mix of architecture and cocktail clubs, what used to be grungier, now up and coming.

SIP.

  • Clown Bar – A funky bar located in Le Marais district.

  • Prescription Cocktail Club – Brought to you by the same owners as Experimental Cocktail Club. Stylish vibe, cool crowd and great cocktails. Located off St. Germain des Pres.

  • Experimental Cocktail Club – A favorite speakeasy on a small cobblestone street known for their innovative cocktail menu. Same owners as the Grand Pigalle Hotel and PCC.

  • Hotel Costes – Trendy spot to see and be seen.

  • Andy Wahloo – Located in the Marais neighborhood, this cocktail bar has an old Casablanca feel. Try the ginger-rum.

  • Bluebird - A small cocktail lounge in the 11th arr.

  • Candelaria – A tacaqueria by day and a cocktail bar by night.

  • Silencio – We came here for New Years Eve. It’s open only to members and their guests until midnight, but then opens to the public after that. This is your quintessential basement club where DJs spin til 6am.

  • Le Carmen – Located in South Pigalle area, this cocktail bar is set in a beautiful boudoir style space with high ceilings and cool architecture. Go later in the evening when the DJ starts.

  • Les Bains - The hotel where you can start the night at the upstairs lounge/bar and finish at Le Club til dawn.

SNACK.

  • Septime – A foodie favorite, serving a 7 course tasting menu of classic French cuisine in a rustic Nordic setting. One of Paris’ best fine dining experiences and probably the hardest to get into, but well worth the try.

  • Clamato –If you can’t get into Septime, it’s sister restaurant next door is worth the visit. Clamato serves sustainable dishes with s seafood specialty.

  • Ober Mamma – A true trattoria in the heart of Paris, serving traditional Italian fare in a beautiful atmosphere. The cocktails are great as well.

  • Pierre Sang – French Korean establishment.

  • Frenchie – From the talented Gregory Marchand and Jamie Oliver comes this popular bistro serving traditional French cuisine. There’s two seatings each evening, and make sure to call in advance – sometimes they are closed for a week at a time over holidays.

  • Frenchie Bar À Vins – When Frenchie is too packed, the sister wine bar around the corner is the perfect alternative with less stress and the same food quality.

  • Ferdi - Best burger in Paris with a classic setting.

  • Le Bistrot Paul Bert – Traditional French spot with old fashioned décor and delicious steak frites.

  • La Chardenoux - Classic spot with amazing French cuisine.

  • Cafe de Flore – One of the most famous (and therefore touristy) cafes in the Saint Germain area. Still recommend going for the hot chocolate and old world vibe.

  • Dersou - Newer restaurant with a prix fixe menu and cocktail pairing.

  • Semilla - Modern French, Michelin Star.

  • Chez L'Ami Louis - Classic French spot, older crowd, white table clothes, great food.

  • Georges - Great views of Paris, could get touristy.

  • Le Relais De L’Entrecôte - Known for their steak-frites.

  • Racines - Small offshoot of a Parisian bistro serving French food with organic, biodynamic wines.

SHOP.

  • L’Officine Universelle Buly – The 19th century apothecary that is just as stunning as the artisanal perfumes that are sold there. They also have a marble bar where you can order a cup of tea, served on a silver platter of course. Plus, the in house calligrapher can monogram any label for you on site.

  • Thanx God I’m a VIP – A great selection of vintage treasures.

  • Tom Greyhound – Women’s and men’s designer clothing and accessories.

  • Marché aux Puces – Paris' largest flea market, open on Sundays only and filled with antiques and good finds.

  • Galeries Lafayette –This year the famed Parisian department store got an upgrade with a more concept store feel and gourmet food court on the basement level.

  • Rue Vieille du Temple - One of my favorite shopping streets in Le Marais

  • Broken Arm - A curated clothing and accessories shop complete with café that's open for breakfast and lunch. Lots of unique objects with a minimalist vibe

  • Mariage Frères - For tea, that comes in cute tins. Perfect for gifts.

  • Merci - An awesome concept store carrying unique and designer clothes, jewelry and home goods. Can be a bit touristy at times, but worth the visit.

  • Le Rocketship - Cute and crafty gift shop with small coffee bar.

  • Celia Darling - Vintage shop with a mix of new items as well.

  • Sept Cinq - Concept Shop

  • Pop Market - "Special objects for inspired people"

  • Marche Delphine - Great markets north of the 9th arr.
